Chief Technology Officer
Lead, mentor technology and software engineering teams at a global level, to drive transformation from legacy development methodologies to modern development practices and methods.Deliver and institute strong coding, deployment best practices and architecture patterns in an agile development and CI/CD environment.
Partner with the SVPs of Product, UI/UX, and Enterprise Architecture on product vision, strategy, and road-mapping.
Structuring technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success.
Provide expert guidance related to all aspects of the company’s technology strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals. (Our stack is .NET, React/React Native + Node.js, C#, Azure Cosmos DB, and SQL Server).
Developing objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.
Providing technical leadership at the enterprise level and serving an integral role in operations and business development.
Sharing information and developing a collective understanding of programs and issues.
An executive-level leader with a proven track record of technology innovation, design, development, and implementation. Typically, this comprises at least 10 years of solid experience in organizational management, process improvement, leading complex contractual relationships, and keen insights regarding technology and business trends.
Someone who is on top of the latest developments in technology and can apply that knowledge in collaboration with the SVP of Product.
Deeply experienced in defining and leveraging best practices, standards, and streamlined procedures across global engineering teams.
An effective leader and team-player who knows how to hire and manage the right talent to scale the Engineering team.
Expert knowledge and hands-on experience architecting and building decoupled SOA solutions using microservices and micro-frontends.
Architected web-scale applications, including technical solutions architecture experience.
Worked with large complex data sets, data scientists, and/or setting up and managing data pipelines.
Deep experience with agile development practices and CI/CD pipeline management in a high volume and critical uptime environment.
Deep experience in transformation from legacy development methodologies to modern development practices and methods.
Strong foundation in building and leading software teams that support multiple product models and delivery methods– SaaS, Solutions Development, Cloud, Azure, Agile, APIs, SOA.
Experience building consumer-facing secure and compliant applications (data privacy/PII, payments/PCI, SOX).
Senior stakeholder management experience and can work at the senior executive level while still being able to drive delivery at all levels of the engineering teams.
Ability to conduct in-depth technical analysis and research.
Strong leadership skills to lead, mentor multiple departments and teams.
Effective communication skills, with proficiency in English, to be able to translate complex documents and technical matters to stakeholders and non-technical staff.
Ability to build appropriate environments to foster talents, innovation, and delivery of effective development strategies.
Ability to anticipate and develop plans to address technological challenges.
Prior CTO/Head of Engineering and technical visionary experience in B2B environments, preferably with a track record of one or more successful exits.
BSc or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related area, and preferably an MBA or other relevant graduate degree.
