JOB DESCRIPTION

Create system architectures, set coding standards, and build cloud-native solutions.
Write top-notch Node.js code, enhance system performance, and solve intricate software integration issues.
Manage the testing, deployment, and thorough documentation of unified systems.
Guide junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and ensure solutions align with business needs and international standards.
Actively participate in Agile software development stages, including crafting user stories and conducting sprint planning.
Collaborate with multinational companies, while occasionally adjusting to US and EU time zones.

JOB REQUIREMENT

5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, with at least 3+ years dedicated to Node.js.
Strong expertise in Node.js and a deep understanding of its technologies.
Proven experience in creating scalable RESTful/Microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, ASG, SQS, VPC, SG) and cloud-native solution design. Use of Redis to improve system throughput during complex system-level updates, and Elastic Cache to enhance system performance while effectively utilizing AWS services.
Proficiency in Relational and NoSQL databases, particularly in utilizing MongoDB for performance, scalability, and query optimization.
Capability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in Unit/Integration testing (Mocha, Chai, or Jest) and TDD practice.
Proficiency with Linux and ability to manage complex system-level updates.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Outstanding problem-solving skills for complex software development and integration issues.
Strong communication skills facilitating effective cross-cultural and cross-time zone collaboration. Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Ability to work with colleagues in US and European timezones as needed.
Working experience with Python is highly desirable.
Understanding of authentication/authorization (OAuth2 / SAML.)
Valuable experience in MLOps, ML infrastructure, and model training.
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to understand systems, reason about code, and accelerate skill growth.
Knowledge in or interest in learning life science is highly desirable.
