JOB DESCRIPTION

Development of Android Automotive solutions involving customization of AOSP for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) platforms, as well as integration of multimedia, navigation, and vehicle control features.
Optimization of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) for smooth transitions between infotainment and vehicle systems to improve the overall driver experience.
Supervision of integration of cockpit domain controllers and Android-based systems with automotive hardware such as displays, instrument clusters, and sensors.
Implementation of real-time optimizations within Android Automotive to ensure low-latency performance for critical functions like navigation and media streaming.
Resource management optimization for Android applications to ensure efficient CPU, memory, and GPU utilization.
Development of low-level software components including device drivers and firmware for Android Automotive systems.
Debugging utilizing tools like GDB and JTAG to address hardware-software integration issues, and to meet real-time constraints.
Designing Android-centric system architecture for smooth integration with multi-OS environments like QNX and ADAS systems.
Implementation of multi-OS solutions to ensure effective integration of Android Automotive with safety-critical systems.
Presentation of Android Automotive solutions to OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and stakeholders, while providing expert guidance on system architecture.
Leading the technical aspects of project proposals and bidding processes, including system requirements and integration plans.
Mentoring junior engineers and encouraging collaboration across departments to ensure seamless integration of Android Automotive solutions with vehicle systems.
Ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR) and implementing cybersecurity measures like secure boot and data encryption within Android Automotive systems.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in developing Android Automotive solutions, including customization of AOSP for IVI systems and infotainment platforms.
Proven experience in optimizing Android for real-time applications, integrating safety-critical systems, and implementing low-latency performance solutions.
Expertise in writing low-level code, device drivers, and firmware on automotive platforms running Android, including BSP development and hardware integration.
Experience in client-facing roles, delivering technical presentations, and managing proposals and project bids related to Android Automotive solutions.
Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide and mentor teams for successful delivery of Android Automotive projects.
Familiarity with automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR, and implementing security measures for Android Automotive systems.

Conduct benchmarking. Establish build automation CI/CD/Test env (LAVA, R-Car Automation Test env based, etc.). Perform in-depth analysis of failed cases in Web-Platform-Testing. Address technical inquiries from Linux customers. Port drivers on CA55. Investigate, design, code, and test drivers for FreeRTOS environment on CR7 of G2M. Investigate, design, code, and test drivers for FreeRTOS environment on Cortex M33 of G2L. Verify OpenAMP on Multi-OS (Linux, FreeRTOS) environment.
