Applied Artificial Intelligence Lead (Open for Vietnam and Canada)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Understand business objectives and user insights, and lead the team to architect, build, maintain, and improve new and existing suite of algorithms and their underlying systems to solve sound recognition and recommendation problems
Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to frame feasible and proper AI solutions to serve product goals
Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analysis, model development, validation, monitoring and maintenance
Contribute engineering aspects in business strategic planning and balance strategic and tactical direction to deliver and maintain stable, scalable, cost-effective solutions with focused innovations
Proactively and innovatively propose AI/ML solutions to bring further values for business through enhancing product features
Identify and manage technical dependencies and risks
Advocate and implement technical standards, policies and best-practices
Continuously review code, technical documentation and coding standards for the team
Conduct necessary research to solve technical problems and evolve our technology
Work closely with product owners and engineers to deploy modules and services to mobile platforms
Mentor and educate AI team members to adopt best practices in researching, implementing and maintaining production machine learning code
Collaborate and manage partnerships with internal and external technical partners.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication that enables you to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical members of the team

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education and Working Experience:
Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics. AI or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years experience in researching, developing, building, training, evaluating and deploying AI/ML models
Experience in leading, mentoring and supporting peers and teams, fostering the best engineering practices
Experience in building a learning organization and are continuously learning
Excellent research capability in AI such as reading, publishing and applying findings from scientific papers
Proficiency with deep learning frameworks that are best suited for deployment
Familiar with programming languages such as Python and C/C++
Experience in building and deploying audio AI/ML models on devices with real-time (or near real-time prediction)
Experience with digital signal processing techniques such as music information retrieval, noise cancelling or noise reduction
