Azure DevOps Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Involved in the process of hosting/deploying the entire application in to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Working with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and deploying the services through Azure Resource Manager Templates or Azure Portal.
Created Kubernetes cluster like AKS-Engine, Minikube
Managing Build/Release Engineering for multiple products and releases under tight schedules and deadlines.
Introducing DevOps for BAU deployments using Microsoft tools (VSTS, Release Manager, and Jenkins).
Creating scripts in Power Shell for automating repetitive tasks.
Maintaining the source code in Git for various applications, Maintaining the repositories (includes creating, deleting).
Creating the Branching Strategy for the development. Configuration Management using Git.
Configuring tools (flavours like Tortoise Git) on windows.
Providing Access Rights to users, Giving support to developers and resolving trouble shooting Git issues. 

JOB REQUIREMENT

Strong experience in Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, ARM, PowerShell, Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef and Puppet
Experience in deploy and running an applications of Dockers using Containers.
Expertise in Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.
Technical understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management product
Experience in automating build and deployment, infrastructure and processes for multiple projects.
Experience in migrating On-premises VMs to Microsoft Azure Cloud
Good understanding in Azure networking, Storage, VM provisioning, RBAC, NSG, Automation, AZ Copy, Storage Explorer, AD, Application Insights, ARM Templates, automation etc.
Excellent customer facing communication, presentation skills and technical writing capability for tender responses, bids and proposals.
Experience in Windows Azure(IAAS,PAAS), VSTS(CICD), Azure SQL, MS SQL, IIS, Azure Web Apps, Cloud services, Azure Storage, Traffic manager, Power Shell.

Serve as the primary bioinformatics subject matter expert for engineering teams developing cloud-native bioinformatics software. Collaborate with software architects to translate scientific workflows into scalable distributed computing architectures. Help engineers understand the computational characteristics, assumptions, and limitations of existing bioinformatics tools. Validate that modernized applications preserve scientific correctness and produce reproducible results. Define biological data models, metadata standards, controlled vocabularies, and best practices for data harmonization.
