Our client is a startup company, building a trading platform with half a million users in 20 countries

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design and develop a multi-source data collection system: crawlers, APIs, RSS feeds, etc.

Build and operate a data pipeline for processing, standardizing, and storing large-scale data (ETL).

Design a semantic search query system based on embeddings and vector databases.

Integrate data with AI systems under the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.

Develop backend APIs for features such as stock code queries, pushing new content, and source management.

Optimize system performance for processing and storing data as it grows rapidly over time.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 4 years of experience in backend development with expertise in Node.js and/or Golang.

Proven experience in building data collection systems or ETL pipelines.

Hands-on experience working with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Qdrant, etc.).

Strong understanding and application of embeddings for text data processing.

Knowledge of RAG architecture and data flows supporting AI-driven systems.

Proficiency in working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.

Solid system design thinking, capable of organizing codebases and data models for scalability and maintainability.

Experience in building AI-powered systems for financial analysis or news aggregation.

Knowledge of stock markets and different types of financial data.

Ability to assess data quality, filter out noise, and handle Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks.
