JOB DESCRIPTION

We are in search of a Senior Node.js Developer to join our team and spearhead the backend development efforts for our major client projects. In this position, you will act as the main link between diverse teams, ensuring smooth integration across the presentation layer, server-side components, and hardware systems. Your role will be critical in establishing scalable architectures, optimizing application performance, and delivering robust backend solutions.
Architect & Develop: Create, maintain, and evolve scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks like Next.js and Express.js.
API Development & Integration: Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs to facilitate secure and efficient data exchange between frontend and backend services.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
Problem-Solving & Debugging: Address complex issues spanning various systems and optimize backend processes for improved efficiency.
Performance Optimization: Enhance server-side performance, including database queries, caching strategies, and request-handling mechanisms.
Testing & Deployment: Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance to junior developers, offer constructive feedback, and nurture a culture of continuous learning within the team.

JOB REQUIREMENT

3-4 years of backend development experience using Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, or similar.
Extensive experience in designing scalable systems, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and contemporary backend development practices.
Thorough understanding of database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and query optimization.
Familiarity with cloud computing and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
Experience with payment gateways (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) and billing systems.
Proficiency in using logging, monitoring, and observability tools (Graylog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI for creating and maintaining clear, standardized, and testable API documentation.
Familiarity with Headless CMS (Strapi, Sanity, Contentful) is advantageous.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
