Our client is a startup company focusing on building a marketplace for insurance products

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Backend Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to:

Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and testable components for the architecture

Architect, develop and deploy modern architectural patterns and techniques including microservices, DDD and TDD

Participate in the platform design committee and take responsibility for the end-to-end solution architecture and deliverables

Design a developer experience that enables autonomous and agile operation for teams

Lead the development of new features for the platform, ensuring high quality

Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions using container technologies

Ensure high engineering standards, with a focus on performance and scalability

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure adherence to architectural principles

Write well-documented, maintainable, and clean code

Demonstrate strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Utilize rapid prototyping techniques to accelerate time-to-market for customers

Stay updated on new technology trends

JOB REQUIREMENT

Required Qualifications:

4-6 years of senior experience or 7+ years of Lead-Principal experience in architecting, developing, and deploying modern cloud native solutions

Experience in designing solutions for managing complex business rules within the Azure ecosystem and cloud infrastructure as a Principal

Proficient in working with microservices architecture and event-driven architecture

Previous experience in Insurance consulting/architecture within a software and/or services company is preferred

Capability to break down complex issues, find solutions and consolidate them

Ability to work independently on projects with strong attention to detail and follow-up

Create the firmware stack for a new project from the ground up, including selecting the operating system, setting up the toolchain, and developing the board support package. Develop firmware for real-time processing units across the project's hardware platform. Establish and maintain embedded Linux environments for onboard computing, including BSP setup, device tree configuration, kernel driver development, and userspace/kernel interfaces. Create and maintain low-level drivers for various components such as actuators, sensors, IMUs, and communication buses (CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, I2C, UART).
