JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee the leadership, mentoring and development of two engineering teams, namely AI BI and AI-Powered Service Desk. This includes managing recruitment, evaluating performance, and facilitating career growth.
Take accountability for the delivery of both teams, comprising planning, prioritization, sprint execution, and ensuring high-quality releases.
Work in conjunction with Product, Data Science/ML, and Design to establish roadmaps and convert business requirements into technical implementation.
Offer technical direction and architectural oversight across BI dashboards, analytics pipelines, and AI-powered service/support tooling.
Advocate for engineering best practices such as code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
Manage competing priorities across both teams, resolve obstacles for engineers, and oversee inter-team dependencies.
Collaborate with backend, frontend, and ML engineers to ensure unified architecture across the teams.
Provide regular reports on team performance, progress in delivery, and potential risks to senior leadership.
Cultivate an environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and continual enhancement.
Remain involved in hands-on tasks as required, including code reviews, architecture discussions, and making technical decisions.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Demonstrated background as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead overseeing multiple engineering teams or squads
Strong technical expertise in software engineering (frontend, backend, or full-stack), with the capability to engage in architecture and technical discussions
History of delivering data-heavy or analytics products (BI, dashboards, reporting) and/or AI-powered products
Proficient in agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), sprint planning, and cross-team coordination
Effective people-management abilities: recruitment, coaching, performance evaluations, and career advancement
Experience collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams (product, design, data science)
Excellent English communication skills with the ability to work with global stakeholders
Capable of managing competing priorities across two teams and aligning them with company objectives
Previous involvement in building or managing AI/ML-powered products or features
Familiarity with BI platforms, KPIs, and reporting/analytics workflows
Background in customer service, helpdesk, or service desk platforms
Familiarity with React, modern frontend frameworks, or data visualization
Experience with Azure, Power BI Embedded, or similar enterprise analytics ecosystems
Proven track record of scaling engineering teams in a fast-growing tech environment
Previous experience overseeing teams in Vietnam or the wider APAC region
AI BI Team - develops analytics and BI dashboard products, data visualization, and enterprise reporting tools
AI-Powered Service Desk Team - creates AI-driven customer service/support tooling, automation, and intelligent ticketing/service workflows
