Developer Manager (PHP Technical Lead, English)

Our client is a leading provider of data protection and site recovery solutions for virtualized environments

JOB DESCRIPTION

Communicate with cross-functional teams including Product, Developer, QA and Executive teams.
Lead project plan execution for the team's feature.
Work closely with team members to research, analyze, design and estimate features based on specifications.
Attend necessary meetings.
Manage internal processes for team members such as hiring, training, and performance reviews.
Review code submitted by team members.
Provide support for resolving business logic and technical problems for team members.
Handle issues from Support/QA team and/or assign them to team members accordingly.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Experience managing teams of at least 6 members, including remote team members.
Minimum of 4 years of management experience.
Familiarity with Agile collaboration frameworks.
Proficiency in backend development principles and object-oriented programming in PHP.
Fluency in PHP, WordPress, and other related ecosystems (theme customization, plugin development, WordPress Templates, WordPress APIs, etc.).
Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic SQL queries.
Prior experience in working with RESTful APIs and integrating external services into web applications.
Proficient in JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with server management, basic networking concepts, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD (nice to have).
Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
Quick learner and able to adapt to existing project structures and codebases.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Intermediate level proficiency in English.
Knowledge of tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, VMware, PHP IDE, Git bash, Linux bash, PowerShell.
Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS EC2, LightSail) for hosting and deployment.
Understanding of CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) is a plus.
Ability to work with virtualization technologies (VMware) for development environments.
Exposure to WordPress REST API and integration with external APIs.
