JOB DESCRIPTION

Work with Product Manager and cross-functional team to align product roadmap with company vision
Manage technical architecture and project execution to meet business objectives
Optimize team's working model for efficiency and quality
Lead and manage team through critical projects
Make sound judgments on tradeoffs between scopes, engineering capacity, and time constraints
Recruit high-caliber engineering talent
Develop and grow engineering team for larger impact and job satisfaction
Cultivate a strong culture of teamwork and guide conflict resolution for cohesive relationships within the team

JOB REQUIREMENT

At least 5 years of professional experience in software development;
At least 2 years of experience managing software engineers;
Proficient in communication, leadership, and problem-solving;
Proven ability to manage, recruit, and retain engineering talent, and build effective teams;
Experience working with globally distributed teams and coordinating across different functions;
Collaborative work experience with various teams such as PMs, designers, data scientists, and infrastructure;
Strong technical skills in large-scale distributed systems, including SQL/NoSQL storage, transactional updates, asynchronous processing with message queues like Kafka, logging, system monitoring, and performance tuning;
Knowledge in microservices and distributed systems is desirable.
