Engineering Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Team Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with the CTO to manage and support a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Assign engineers to projects based on their skillsets and project requirements, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Facilitate a balanced hybrid work environment by scheduling in-office and remote workdays based on collaborative project needs.
Technical Support & Guidance
Provide hands-on technical mentorship, assisting engineers in identifying the best tools, frameworks, and implementation strategies for their projects.
Review code for quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices, offering constructive feedback.
Collaborate with engineers to debug complex issues and identify scalable solutions to technical challenges.
Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, and guide the team in adopting improvements that enhance productivity and product
Project Management & Delivery
Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management software.
Identify and troubleshoot roadblocks to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain accountability for on-time and high-quality delivery of engineering outputs.quality.
Workflow Optimization
Streamline cross-functional workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize technical bottlenecks.
Implement and enforce best practices in system architecture, performance optimization, and design systems.
People Management
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide feedback, mentorship, and professional development support.
Foster a positive team culture that encourages continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Documentation & Processes
Ensure comprehensive documentation of workflows, processes, and project roadmaps.
Establish and maintain clear protocols for project handoffs and knowledge sharing.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in Full Stack Engineering, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies (React, NextJS, Postgres).
Expertise in code review processes, debugging, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with modern design systems and their implementation.
Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar).
Leadership Skills
Proven ability to guide and support teams in achieving technical and project goals.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams.
Native or highly proficient English and Vietnamese speaking skills are required.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges effectively.
