JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Engineer Manager to oversee resource management and project timelines for all teams. This role requires a solid technical background to provide mentorship to engineering and QC teams, as well as strong leadership skills to support the Director of Engineering in people management.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Technical Skills
More than 5 years of experience in software development, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial or lead role.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related engineering field is beneficial.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services, web, and mobile app development.
Proficiency in PHP, React, Bash script, python, C, C++, Swift, Kotlin, or other relevant tech.
Understanding of hardware products and firmware development, or willingness to learn.
Ability to acquire advanced knowledge of products, structure, and business to support technical teams, comprehend new initiatives, and provide accurate timelines.
 
Project Management Skills
Effective collaboration with engineer and qc teams for technical planning and project estimates.
Coordination of projects and their interdependencies between various company domains.
Collaborative working style with Business Analysts to gather project knowledge and handle sprint planning.
Responsibility for determining timelines and resource allocations for all projects to meet milestones and company goals.
Proficiency in identifying potential risks and rewards, and taking steps to prevent or mitigate any risks that could impact project outcomes.
Accountability for reporting on team performance and project status to heads of departments.
 
Leadership Skills
Strong leadership and advanced communication skills in English.
Demonstration of empathy towards all team members and leading by example.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to make strategic decisions.
Participation in personal development plans and review processes for technical team members.

Engineering Manager
