JOB DESCRIPTION

Guide and mentor Agile teams in meeting engineering standards, sprint backlogs and plans, engineers' responsibilities, code quality, adherence to development guardrails, and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and product managers to achieve engineering goals.
Contribute to developing technology roadmap and architecture design for current and future framework.
Advocate for balance between speed and quality.
Mentor engineers to be versatile and proactive in taking on responsibilities beyond their core discipline.
Take ownership of addressing technical debt.
Stay updated on modern development technologies and methodologies.
Oversee the entire development process and team deliveries.
Encourage self-sufficiency and discipline within the product engineering team.
Lead efforts to implement efficient development and delivery processes.
Inspire the product team to strive for continuous delivery and innovation.
Participate in career path development for engineering team members in collaboration with the HR department.

JOB REQUIREMENT

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in technologies including microservices, REST API, and databases like MySQL and MongoDB. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CLI, ECS, EKS) or Google Cloud Platform is essential. Knowledge of formal development methodologies is also required.
The role demands at least 10 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 4 years leading an engineering team at a product company. Proficiency in initiating and implementing new product lines from start to finish is crucial. The candidate should have a proven track record of implementing Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies and should be well-versed in coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience in management within international finance or tech companies, coupled with a solid development background, is preferred. Strong leadership and coaching abilities are essential, as the candidate will be required to mentor engineers to aid their career growth. Technical documentation production, code and change management, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders are also important.
In-depth knowledge of software quality, DevOps environments, and micro-service technologies is a must. The candidate should have a proven history of collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts in a distributed environment. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is advantageous.
