WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Champion the assigned platform, work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to build/enhance/support it.
Foster strong culture of software engineering best practices by implementing processes and tools (code reviews, code quality, automation, CI/CD, platform monitoring, technical knowledge base).
Ensure the performance, quality, security, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify, analyze, and propose resolutions for technical risks and technical issues.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development
efficiency.
Maintain working knowledge of the software industry and trends.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

JOB REQUIREMENT

5+ years of experience in equivalent positions (engineering manager, technical manager, technical architect, solution architect...).
Proven successful track record of designing, building, and delivering complex software platforms that serve 1M+ users and handle a million requests per second during rush hours.
Experience in non-functional aspects, i.e., security, performance, and scalability.
In-depth experience of microservices, software design patterns, clean code, coding standards, code review, unit tests, mocking libraries, code coverage, code refactoring, CI/CD.
In-depth experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Hazelcast, Kafka, Maven, Tomcat.
In-depth experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containers (Docker, K8s).
Strong sense of result-oriented, ownership, and responsibility.
Ability to clearly communicate high-level strategy and technical details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to senior leadership.
Good communication skills in English.

Principal Engineer, System Software Platform Engineering

Create and manage a platform for AI that provides services for multiple users, handles identity and policy management, configures quotas, and controls costs. Additionally, this platform should offer easy paths for teams to work on AI projects. Oversee the deployment of AI models at scale, including routing, autoscaling, and implementing safety measures to ensure reliability and observability. Manage GPU resources in a Kubernetes environment, including device plugins, feature discovery, and scheduling strategies, among other responsibilities. Take charge of the entire lifecycle of GPUs, ensuring that driver, firmware, and runtime updates are implemented safely and consistently.
