Engineering Manager (Credit Cards)

Establish the technical direction, architecture, and execution plan for a new credit card platform in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Lead the development of fundamental components such as virtual card issuance, transaction routing, credit limit management, and repayment and interest workflows

Advocate for best practices in cloud-native development, encompassing event-driven microservices, security, observability, and failover readiness

Build and oversee a team of backend and full-stack engineers by handling recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management

Promote agile software development practices emphasizing quality, velocity, and accountability

Set transparent goals and cultivate a culture of ownership, continual enhancement, and excellence

Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Risk teams to ensure that engineering decisions align with the product vision, user requirements, and compliance responsibilities

Oversee third-party integrations, including card processors, credit bureaus, and fraud monitoring services

Collaborate closely with Compliance and Finance teams to implement controls for credit disbursement, repayments, and customer lifecycle risk

Minimum 10 years' experience in software development, including at least 4 years in senior engineering leadership positions

Extensive and demonstrated experience in the development and integration of Card Management Systems (CMS), or card issuing within banking or fintech sectors

Thorough understanding of card-related transaction processing, limit management, ledger management, and the complete card lifecycle

Proven track record in effectively managing and guiding mid-sized engineering teams to foster professional development and enhance team performance

Capability to proactively influence technical architecture, work closely with Product Managers, and deliver practical and efficient solutions

Proficiency in microservices architecture, REST APIs, AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS, EKS), databases (MySQL, MongoDB), and modern DevOps practices
