JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop an integrated roadmap for strategic execution based on the organization's strategic aspirations and lead the implementation process from planning to delivery.
Manage multiple engineering teams throughout the organization to achieve desired outcomes, hence having knowledge of the organization's specific areas of operation is an advantage.
Collaborate closely with business teams and product owners to verify requirements before and after delivery through showcases and post-production monitoring.
Take responsibility for both the development and operation of applications in production, providing active operational support and establishing a clear support model with a focus on site reliability engineering.
Direct and oversee the implementation of cybersecurity updates, including keeping software versions current and patching infrastructure regularly.
Oversee investment allocation across the organization to maintain alignment, ensure effective spending, and offer insights on the effectiveness and prioritization of investments.
Integrate engineering excellence with domain expertise in marketing while pursuing strategic technology objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach individuals, fostering their growth and supporting their success
Ability to build and develop teams, guide their professional development, and lead the vision for business outcomes
Extensive experience in Australian and/or global banking, with in-depth knowledge of operational practices, business models, market challenges, and competitive dynamics
Proven skill in managing complex stakeholder relationships and assisting senior leaders in shaping their perspectives on challenging topics
Track record of successfully executing business strategies and delivering programs, with the resilience to overcome obstacles and adhere to timelines
Effective communication skills to translate strategic and operational needs internally and externally, balancing client, business, and stakeholder requirements
Established credibility in senior leadership settings, earning the trust and respect of executive peers and stakeholders
Exceptional thought leadership that secures sponsorship from business leaders to achieve objectives
Solid grasp of operational excellence, including ownership of service level agreements, implementing security controls, driving automation, and utilizing AI-based engineering practices
Exposure to Marketing Technology (MarTech) and marketing platforms
Technical background in Java, Microservices, Data Engineering, and/or Platform Engineering

Owning the Documents Archive Solution (DAS) - GoBD-compliant archive for invoices and business documents, built as a React + TypeScript (Bun / Effect) service on Azure (PostgreSQL, Blob storage, Event Hub) and integrated into the Hub and Managed ERP Panel. Defining and evolving the technical architecture: modular design, REST and GraphQL APIs, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and data flows. Driving the roadmap for the cloud transformation - moving the ERP step by step from virtual machines onto Linux and Docker. Owning the roadmap for test automation, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), observability, and operational reliability. Evaluating and adopting AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate team productivity. Championing secure-by-design practices and maintainable, high-quality code across the entire stack. Hands-on incident response and on-call escalation support together with the team.
