Head of Pre-sales

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose
The Head of Presales Support is a key role related to the business expansion of the Company. The candidate should be a hands-on technology leader with a proven history of working within IT outsourcing businesses and entrepreneurial setups. The role requires a strong background in Presales and Bid Management and a good understanding of Application architecture and software development. The person should have a proven experience in building client relationships and senior stakeholder management. The candidate must have the ability to engage in opening discussions with stakeholders (either NT onsite team or customers), rapidly identifying their requirements and issues and both outlining and effectively communicating solutions appropriate to resolving their issues. The role requires continuously improving the Bid and Presales processes, bringing in efficiencies and ensuring agility in responding to opportunities. The role will include quickly mobilizing a Bid Team consisting of Technical Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers (acting as Bid Managers). In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and developing offshore.
Bid and Presales team and encouraging the team to be on a continuous learning path.
Responsibilities
Presales Support
Manage the presales support team in Vietnam to provide presale support for group global
Manage the full bid cycle from lead to close for owned opportunities
Own the quality of overall deliverables throughout the end-to-end sales process
Work closely with Architects and Analysts in order to design solutions to customer needs - identifying any requirements for adaptations
Facilitate workshops that assist in shaping solutions during the sales cycle
Build strong value propositions for Company that highlight our key strengths
Work with the delivery organization to deliver commercial models for proposals
Solutions
Work with the Business Analysts, Developers, and Stakeholders and act as a conduit to identifying the best-in-class solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of proposals
Lead requirements capture & solution shaping, help with prototyping and proof of concept development as required
Challenge the delivery team to define & deliver new solutions that enhance the Company Solutions portfolios
Keep abreast of emerging technologies
Strong understanding of modern applications and technologies

Act as the overall lead for assigned presales opportunities
Provide post-sales support to project managers and make the handover process smooth
Take ownership and responsibility for customers’ risks and issues, when required

JOB REQUIREMENT

Essential skills/experience
Previous experience in a customer-facing role
A degree level qualification or equivalent business experience.
Excellent skills in writing proposals spanning business and technology domains
Must have a good understanding of Enterprise systems, Digital Technology including Cloud, Mobility, Big Data Analytics, Blockchain and IoT and preferably, some hands-on development experience
Keen learner with the ability to quickly understand the architecture of new and emerging technologies and objectively challenge the solutions proposed by the delivery team
Good understanding of systems integration, understanding of Data Modelling and Data Management, HTML5 and evolving JavaScript based UI technologies, Cloud eco system, Azure/AWS, software architecture and design, full life cycle experience in application development, Project Management methodologies, Agile Delivery, multi-tier distributed architecture etc.
Substantial experience in a commercial aspect of a bid
Experience in communicating complex technical information to a variety of audiences

Responsible for the processes, methods and quality standards that apply to our bids and proposals, and demonstrate usage of analysis and reporting to refine our bid-winning strategies on an ongoing basis
Strong numerical and analytical skills, as well as previous experience of managing budgets and staff
Accomplished, all-round communicator, who can influence people at director level both inside and outside the organisation
Lead in new bids from concept through to fruition ensuring offers are clearly articulated, costs are estimated and signed off and final submissions are reviewed.
Produce a bid strategy
Produce bid timeline and allocation of responsibilities
Responsibility for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations, ensuring written work is clear, concise and compelling
Complete sections of the bid writing where bespoke to the client
Maintain and update bid library and bid software
Line manage Bid Coordinator
Vietnamese and English
