Java Engineering Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Engineering Manager is responsible to write complex software programs from design specifications; Plans, executes and documents unit tests; Reports status and issues; Documents detailed designs; Accountable for unit test leakage; Contributes to and may decide upon system architecture and design decisions.
Define and maintain the technical standards for each position
Build and maintain an assessment system for each level (meet or not meet)
Monitor and develop the technical skills of the current work force
Coordinate with training department to build the qualified junior layer for more balanced staffing model
Support resource allocation activities and propose technical development or training route which matches to the personal and company needs
Support and provide mentoring/ coaching members to ensure they reach NashTech skilled standard levels
Provide hands-on supports to team members during their work in project & work with PMs ensure competency development plan of each individual in project
Join to build the framework for project start from scratch
Coordinate with PMs to solve member concerns/ issues
Manage the turn-over rate of the resource under the relevant competency
Provide solution for design system architecture and help clients in technical support if needed
To self-train on new technologies and broaden the knowledge among the company
Obtain professional certificates if being requested
Review the source code, detailed designs, architecture designs documents
Support for presales activities (R&D, estimate, pilot, etc) if required
Support for recruitment activities in company.
Play the important role to perform trainings/seminars mainly for the relevant competences

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor in Computer Science or Information Technology
Having +7 years experience in the Java competence in Technical/ Solution Architect or Consultant Roles.
Strong experience in the system design and address well the high –ability requirements of the large systems
Strong experience in web application and web service frameworks such as Spring/Spring MVC, Struts2, JAX-WS, JAX-RS
Experience with enterprise application integration frameworks such as EJB/MDB, Spring Integration, Apache Camel, Mule ESB, WSO2 and SOA.
Strong knowledge of SQL, database design and programming, knowledge with a data access framework, such as Hibernate, Entity Framework, Doctrine
Good knowledge of NoSQL databases and indexing services, such as MongoDB, Neo4J, Solr, Elasticsearch etc
Good knowledge of cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), including security requirements and best practices
Ability to define solutions to solve high scale, complex business problems with high resiliency, scalability, performance and concurrency requirements
Good interpersonal & teamwork skill, is a team builder as well as be able to work independently
Strong in code quality, coding standard, OOP principles, design patterns, enterprise architecture design patterns, and enterprise integration patterns.
Strong leadership, Good in English for confident discussions with customer about technical approach or issues in details
Good knowledge of containerization and microservices orchestration (Docker/Docker Swarm/Kubernetes) is a plus
