JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is able to analyze and implement solutions for complex technical problems based on requirements. Has ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete projects. Provide innovation regarding sub-system design and implementation. Utilize technical knowledge and expertise in documenting, designing and developing gaming system applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts analysis of moderate complexity on programming problems concerning a sub-system or group of application programs.
Contributes to the design, development, testing, documentation and ongoing maintenance of the company's lottery software products.
Converts design into a working application, based on the requirement specifications, limitations of the system and equipment, and coding standards.
Reviews product and project requirements and provides technical input on product definition and project plans.
Creates and maintains the documentation related to software, such as functional specifications and the design specifications.
Performs debugging of programs and routines.
Conducts unit tests on sub-system modules.
Assists with final system integration testing, software QA testing, and customer acceptance testing.
Works with QA team to identify, document, and resolve issues.
Provides support for the field installation and testing of equipment and software.
Ability to troubleshoot, support operations at data center.
Basic English written and verbal communication skills.

JOB REQUIREMENT

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each essential duty competently. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum levels of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additionally, must possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical problem- solving skills, work well in team environment, and excellent documentation skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience.
A minimum of 2 years of programming experience in developing Java software applications.
Development emphasis in the area of, Java 6+, GUI design, SWING, multithreaded applications, and experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Fluent and knowledgeable in the following languages/platforms/libraries: Java (1.7+), JavaScript, Web Services, OOP, XML, Tomcat.
Experience working on microservices is plus.
User/programmer experience of Unix/Linux operating systems
Scripting experience in JavaScript (Angular JS), Unix/Linux Scripts, PHP (a plus)
Database experience on – SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase/Oracle (a plus).

Coordinate architecture and delivery consistency across distributed and offshore teams. Drive collaboration between internal and client teams to remove blockers and expedite execution. Promote modern engineering practices including microservices and distributed architecture, event-driven systems (Kafka), cloud-native development, CI/CD, DevOps, and automation-first engineering. Advocate for security-by-design and compliance-by-design principles across delivery. Promote AI-assisted engineering practices across the SDLC (code generation, test automation, refactoring, documentation), while ensuring correctness, governance, and security.
