Principal Software Engineer - Juno

Lead the technical vision and architecture for the AI platform, including agent orchestration, LLM integration layers, tool/MCP integrations, and APIs used by other teams

Make and document key architectural decisions, balancing trade-offs between velocity, cost, reliability, and flexibility (e.g. model choice, orchestration patterns)

Design the platform for multi-tenancy, extensibility, and scale to streamline the adoption of AI capabilities by product teams

Stay up to date with the evolving AI landscape, evaluating new models, frameworks, and patterns to determine adoption strategies

Develop high-quality backend services and platform components, with a focus on coding

Build core capabilities such as agent workflows, RAG pipelines, vector search, context management, and safe tool execution

Establish high engineering quality standards, including testing strategies for non-deterministic AI systems, evals, CI/CD, and fostering a code review culture

You should have extensive software engineering experience, including leadership roles and architectural responsibilities.

Proficient in C# with a proven track record of developing scalable, production-ready backend systems and APIs.

Hands-on experience in deploying AI-powered applications, including agentic systems, LLM integrations, RAG, and vector search.

Experience in designing and operating distributed, cloud-native systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Strong understanding of software architecture, observability, security, and operational excellence in a production environment.

Comfortable with evaluating new technologies, navigating architectural trade-offs, and making sound technical decisions.

Designed and built multi-agent orchestration systems using various frameworks or custom orchestration layers.

Solid experience working with cloud environments such as Azure.

Effective communicator and technical leader, experienced in mentoring engineers, driving engineering standards, and collaborating across teams.

Experience in taking agentic or LLM-based systems from prototype to production at scale, including cost control and latency optimization.

Familiarity with AI evaluation and quality frameworks, such as building evaluations, monitoring model drift, and measuring agent success rates.

Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks and tool-calling/MCP-style integrations.

Experience in prompt engineering at scale, fine-tuning, and model selection trade-offs across providers.

Experience in shaping engineering practices within a growing organization.
