OSS Software Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of innovative, high-quality solutions in the field of telecommunications and networking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Collaborate with a small team of engineers to:
Develop software primarily using C language
Perform thorough software testing
Deliver projects in phased releases
Offer customer support for live operations
Coordinate software development and support activities with the manager and the core development team based in California, USA

JOB REQUIREMENT

Completed a degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in software development
Demonstrated proficiency in the C programming language or its equivalent
Experience with large scale software product development, real-time environments, client/server architectures, and customer support in live production environments is a plus
Familiarity with IT disciplines such as OpenVMS, Red Hat Linux, Sybase RDBMS, SQL, Git/Gitlab, and software testing (Quality Assurance) is preferable
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced dynamic environment
