ABOUT CLIENT

Our client is a leading financial institution with a strong presence in the banking industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
Collaborate with other technology leaders to improve the technical direction.
Advocate and promote best practices for Java.
Demonstrate passion for Java and ability to implement advancements in existing or new systems.
Lead training sessions to empower engineers with programming skills.
Design, develop, review, and manage Java application code and services for production and pre-release environments.
Create and manage continuous integration, build management and deployment scripts and systems as needed.
Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams.
Develop scalable microservices-based products and APIs using Java technologies on cloud architecture.
Utilize customer or business requirements to develop consistent applications.
Work with delivery teams to achieve development success using CI/CD and DevOps practices and tooling.
Implement robust coding practices, unit/component test coverage, and debugging.
Perform other assigned tasks from leadership or authorized representatives as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Must have a minimum of +10 years' experience in a similar role (such as Technical Lead, Technical Architect, Principal Engineer) in Software Development within a complex, enterprise-level development environment.
Experience in architecting, developing, and deploying modern architectural patterns/techniques such as microservices, DDD, TDD.
Proficiency in Java 11+ and Java open-source frameworks, including modern frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
Competence in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems
Knowledge and experience in supporting a production service in a DevOps friendly environment, with proficiency in Cloud-based services (AWS/Azure/...)
Proficient in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology
Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security
Strong work ethic, self-motivation, dedication, and commitment
Experience in Agile development environments
Excellent teamwork and coaching skills
Proficient in English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in a global software development environment
Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js and Node.js
Additional certification or training in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related areas is desirable
