JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose:
The Product Owner represents the voice of the customer and delivers the vision and roadmap for the Merchant services experience, working closely with the Head of and Product consultant to prioritise the squad backlog.
Contribute to and lead the discovery and delivery of new initiatives based on customer needs, business value and regulatory requirements, balanced with technical do-ability and risk (desirability, feasibility, viability).
Keep the team focus on the highest priority work and liaises with stakeholders to descope work for the team that extends beyond their velocity for the sprint.
You are a trusted servant leader for your squad, supporting members to understand the squad mission and foster accountability for the work to be done, to collectively deliver on commitments.
You utilise your strong communication and ability to influence others when coordinating and engaging with stakeholders and teams to achieve end to end outcomes.
You represent the voice of the Customer and Colleague when developing the product roadmap. You also keep this voice front of mind to prioritise, balancing what is realistic with what will make a difference and challenge the status quo.
You are responsible for managing stakeholders on behalf of the squad and provide both sides with the transparency and visibility required.
You are comfortable with being uncomfortable, continuously learning and improving; valuing progress over perfection.
Main Responsibilities
You are accountable for the ultimate success of your squad's outcomes
You work with the other members of the squad to elaborate features and stories, defining acceptance criteria and definition of done
Make effective day to day decisions to enable the squad to progress the work
Work collaboratively with Scrum Master and the squad to deliver backlog, and attend all relevant agile ceremonies
Communication and engagement with stakeholders outside of the squad, protecting the squad members to enable focus on their work and avoid context-switching
You ensure that the customer and colleague experience is protected and complete UAT/ BVT when required.
Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENT
5-7+ years experience in Banking including at least 2+ years Product Owner experience
Detailed knowledge of financial services and the Credit Card lifecycle from both a consumer, merchant, issuing and acquiring stand point
7-8 years of experience mobilising and supporting cross functional and self managing teams across multiple providers to accomplish outcomes
Experience working with agile ways or working and familiarity with human centred design techniques
Ability to create and convey a vision to key stakeholders and teams, developing it into a shaped backlog of key features, user stories and goals in line with domain cadence
Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops through the discovery, development and operational usage stages of development
Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content
Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making
Project delivery and knowledge of the software development cycle

Ideation and Design: Own the vision/direction of an experience including definition of product roadmap (strategy), research industry & technology trends to create new value propositions, prioritise & maintain Product Backlog, work closely with the team to define what needs to built in the form of initiatives and features
Planning and Engagement: Agree the customer and commercial outcomes to be delivered by cycle, establish the cycle plan based on capacity and technology sequencing, set sprint goals, determine/establish optimal resource mix, and build senior leader relationships to ensure alignment and engagement
Delivery and measurement: Enable delivery through responding to key questions, make decisions, review work items, plan, track & report progress, measure success/learnings
Other capabilities
Experience with human centred design, product story telling and product leadership
Familiar with tooling such as Clarity, Grace, Confluence, Figma, Fiserv product suite and frontline banking systems
Qualification Requirements
Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Finance or Business and preference to post graduate qualifications
