R&D Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope of work for this position: electronics circuit (40%), embedded software (40%), mechanical design (20%)
Lead and manage: Electronics Circuit Design Team, Embedded Software Team and Mechanical Design to come up with innovative new ideas and new technologies
Working experience on complete Product Development life cycle, Embedded Hardware and Firmware design.
You design, develop, and implement analog and digital circuits from concept phase to serial production.
Your tasks include the creation of schematics and definition of constraints for PCB layout, definition of verification specifications, and execution of verification activities of your designs by simulation and prototype testing, as well as documentation and handover of the developed technologies with subsequent implementation support to production engineering.
You collaborate closely with Project Manager, Product management, System architects, and Electronics Circuit Design, and Embedded Software Design to break down market requirements to Product requirements for Hardware.
You monitor technology developments and product technologies to identify technical drivers for R&D projects, supported by your thorough understanding of key business drivers for the company's products and solutions.
You participate in internal and external networks to expand your knowledge of your area of expertise.
You take responsibility for hardware development activities, as (senior) member, including risk identification, alignment with targets, and close coordination with suppliers and other functions (e.g. product management).

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education Background: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in the development of electronics within embedded systems as an R&D Manager.
Sound knowledge in designing electronic circuits, circuit diagrams, and working with simulation tools. Familiarity with EMC/EMI and methods for constructing noise-protected circuit solutions.
Experience in Microcontroller / microprocessor-based firmware design, development, testing, and debugging.
Hands-on with Multi-layer PCB design and Layout tools. Proficiency in CAD software (Altium, Cadence, etc.) and PCB routing.
Familiar with 8/16/32 bits Microcontrollers with its peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, DAC, DMA, PWM Timer counter, USB, EEPROM, interrupts, etc…
Experience with FreeRTOS real-time operating systems and knowledge of modern microcontrollers, particularly ARM architecture.
Knowledge of TCP/IP stack and experience with GSM/GPS modules.
Know and understand how to create and develop technical and design documentation and how to manage the process of keeping version/change tracking
Aptitude for hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Ability to mentor and guide people to meet their goals
English Advanced.

Physical Design Engineer (EMIR Focus)
