JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop navigation algorithms for bipedal humanoid robots in complex indoor environments
Develop localization, mapping, and SLAM pipelines for real-time usage on embedded computers
Create planning frameworks considering the physical constraints of a legged platform such as footstep planning, terrain traversal, and dynamic obstacle avoidance
Integrate navigation with the autonomy stack including perception and locomotion
Develop infrastructure for data collection and evaluation to benchmark performance in various environments
Address the disparity between simulation and reality through hardware iteration
Contribute to open-source releases of navigation research and tools

JOB REQUIREMENT

Proficient in estimation theory, probabilistic robotics, and motion planning
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing SLAM, planning, or autonomous navigation systems on actual robots
Skilled in Python and C++; knowledge of ROS or equivalent middleware
Experience in achieving end-to-end functionality in systems, not just in simulation
Capable of debugging across hardware-software boundary and adept at solving ambiguous problems quickly
Previous involvement in legged or humanoid navigation
Expertise in learning-based planning or visuomotor navigation policies
Familiarity with neural map representations or semantic scene understanding
Published work at ICRA, IROS, CoRL, RSS, or similar events

Implement AI-assisted development workflows for 1,000+ engineers, including AI code generation, review, automated testing, and AI-powered debugging. Represent the company externally in conferences, thought leadership, and talent branding to position the company as an AI leader in the IT services industry.
