Senior Technical Game Designer

Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the game's design vision aligns with company objectives and oversee the creation of cohesive design elements that match the project's scope and vision.

Work with executive production staff to align game design and development with broader company goals, setting strategic priorities and adjusting design scopes to meet evolving business needs.

Lead the creation of technical game design documents following industry standards, ensuring seamless integration of game mechanics and systems, and establishing best practices within the team.

Stay at the forefront of game development innovation, influencing game design trends through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, tools, and methodologies and spearheading research and development efforts.

Develop a clear strategy for realizing game designs within the technical constraints of the VisionOS system, overseeing collaboration between game designers, art, animation, and engineers.

Lead in solving high-level technical issues impacting game design, make strategic decisions on complex trade-offs between design ambition and technical realities, and establish frameworks for scalable problem-solving for the game feature system.

Drive the strategic integration of technical innovation within game design, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Define the strategy for prototyping within the game development process, ensuring efforts are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the project's long-term goals.

Foster collaboration between the prototyping team and other departments, acting as the primary liaison for prototyping efforts across the project.

Drive innovation in game prototyping, exploring and implementing cutting-edge tools, techniques, and methodologies, and establish the company's leadership in game design prototyping.

A Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

Prior experience in game development across various genres, with a focus on AR, VR, and Mixed reality, should be showcased in a portfolio.

Proficiency with Behavior Trees is mandatory.

A solid grasp of game design principles and a genuine passion for gaming is essential.

Proficiency in scripting languages like C# and hands-on experience with game engines such as Unity is required.

The ability to tackle technical challenges creatively and adapt to evolving design requirements and limitations is crucial.

Strong communication skills, including the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members, are needed.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential traits.

Proficient English communication and documentation skills are a must.

The ideal candidate should possess focused flexibility, strong ownership, and an open-minded approach.
