Senior Accessibility Tester
JOB DESCRIPTION
We can finally cater to the bank's Accessibility demand. The role is expected to work as an inclusive, collaborative member of the Digital Accessibility team to maintain a unified accessibility standard that is enforced across all of Our client's digital assets.
Technical:
Performing Accessibility gap analyst on task Acceptance Criteria
Providing Accessibility- Specific requirements for tasks, including required ARIA attribute, sematic HTML markup, and screen reader behavior scenarios
Perform cross-browser, devices, and screen reader testing
Logging defects and assisting with solutions and any issues identified above
Support implementation of best practice Digital Accessibility with internal stakeholder, including recommendation
Leadership:
Encourages team members to speak up and share open and honest perspectives (e.g. team retrospective, Heartbeat survey, skip level meeting).
Maintains and increases motivation within team by regularly checking in on motivation levels, and making adjustments quickly where needed (e.g. QCI, team meeting, team engagement activity).
Creates and maintains an equally safe environment for all members of team to 'test and learn', share learning, challenge thinking, team development and explore new ideas.
Communicates a clear, consistent vision (e.g. using Message Layering) to the team that creates shared purpose, and aligns plans and actions to the organisation's strategic ambition.
Sets effective and meaningful goals and timelines for each team member that supports them to achieve beyond what is expected (e.g. align with Peak performance framework).
Assists Engineering Manager/ Development Manager with applying sound commercial judgement and risk management principals to identify opportunities for the team to create value for customers and colleagues.
Provides input to Engineering Manager/ Development Manager in making decision of Prioritising and making trade-offs between current and future performance to balance immediate goals with longer-term growth for the team.
Assists Engineering Manager/ Development Manager in ensuring resources (hire and allocate right people for right work, review and assess performance for direct reports aligning with performance policy, team engagement & development budget management, resource planning, etc.) to achieve optimum outcomes.
Actively nurtures existing talent and proactively brings in new/diverse talent and capabilities to their team to deliver on the strategic ambition and future needs of the business unit (e.g. IDP for team members).
Solves problems collaboratively by working to overcome barriers and break down silos that get in the way of outcomes.
Conveys results conversations from what we have achieved, to what we need to do more / better / different / less to enable future success
Supports the team to cut through complexity and create clarity by simplifying practices and processes.
Effectively briefs and debriefs team members to ensure they are clear on their strengths and gaps, including regularly recognising those doing well and sharing best practices across the team
Engages team in both individual and team development conversations (e.g. QCI, rounds), cocreating development opportunities to sustain motivation and retain top talent.
Leads others to leverage data, digital and new technology to evolve products and services, driving improvements for customers and colleagues.
Monitors team's Clarity timesheet, Leave management, User account request on related systems.
Advises and be responsible for team's Goals, QCI, Performance review and assessment, Individual Development Plan, Performance improvement, Contract assessment, Recognition & Rewards.

JOB REQUIREMENT
5+ years in the design and execution of Manual & Automation testing
Knowledge and experience with accessibility standards WCAG 2.0 (Level AA), standard is essential
Good experience testing with one to two of accessibility tools: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Talkback, etc.
Experience in cross-browser, cross device, and cross-screen reader testing is expected.
Participate in the creation and improvement of internal accessibility testing standards and processes
Knowledge of best-practice Accessibility, Usability, Inclusive design, human- centred design principles or similar
Knowledge basic HTML and CSS, familiarity with iOS/Android design system is desired
Have experience in leadership and mentoring skills
Strong communication in English (both verbal and writing)
