Senior Android Developer
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer (Kotlin) to join our dynamic development team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-friendly mobile solutions that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, a creative mindset, and a passion for mobile application development.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and develop innovative mobile applications for the Android platform.
Design and implement efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices and coding standards.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Continuously research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and libraries to enhance the development process and improve application performance.
Collaborate with the backend development team to integrate mobile applications with serverside systems.
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and battery usage.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile application development.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers when needed.
Document the development process, technical specifications, and troubleshooting steps.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Technical Background:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as an Android Developer for at least 7 years, with a strong portfolio of mobile applications developed and deployed on the Google Play Store.
Proficient in Kotlin programming languages.
Strong experience in mobile application architecture (MVVM preferred)
Hands-on experience in Unit Test
Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
Knowledge of the full mobile development life cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Soft skills:
Very good communication in English with the ability to explain technical problems in a logical and structural way.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices for mobile application design.
Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques.
Published open-source contributions or personal projects related to mobile application development.
Prefer banking domain experience
