Senior Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION

Solution Design: Develop and design scalable, high-performance, and secure IT solutions that meet business requirements.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
Architecture Development: Create and maintain architecture blueprints, detailed documentation, and technical specifications.
Designing fault tolerance, measuring and enhancing application performance, contributing to infrastructure sizing estimations etc.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and other technical teams, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve the company's technology stack.
Integration: Ensure integration of new solutions with existing systems.
Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Compliance and Security: Ensure all solutions comply with industry regulations and security standards.
Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement continuous improvement practices within the architecture team.
Work on all stages of software development life cycle.
Develop web applications using Java/Spring, Python, GraphQL, Web API's
Create Unit Testing and adhere to TDD
Write deployment scripts that can deploy your code into docker containers
Background in key design patterns such as when to use synchronous vs asynchronous inter-process communication, saga distributed transactions pattern, hexagonal architecture etc.
Work with Azure/AWS, Kubernetes
Perform source control using Git
Maintain task backlog and updates in Jira
Works closely with business partners and system analysis staff to understand desired system requirements.
Code and/or integrate application components per design.
Works closely with QA engineers to ensure coded components meet requirements and respond timely to issues reported.
Ensures best practices and standards are being adhered to such as TDD

JOB REQUIREMENT

Educational and Technical Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technologyor related field is desirable.
Extensive experience in software architecture, with a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level systems.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CEA, or similar are preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in various programming languages (e.g., Java/Spring, Python) and architectural frameworks.
Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire technical teams.
Broad knowledge of design patterns such as SAGA, hexagonal architecture, synchronous vs asynchronous inter-process communications and when to use (and not use) them
Experience architecting Enterprise Grade systems in a microservices environment
Good knowledge of SQL and/ or GraphQL
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and TDD
Language Skills:
English - Mandatory
Nature of Experience:
5+ years of experience working in a similar role.
5-7+ years of experience in Java and / or Python
Strong interpersonal skills.
Highly logical.
Technically proficient.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
