JOB DESCRIPTION

The Automation Test Engineer role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications through automation testing. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated test scripts, integrating with test management tools, and performing thorough reviews of test cases. This role also involves collaborating with team members to identify and resolve defects and improve defect management processes.
The focus is on large-scale applications with various front-end technologies such as WPF, web-based interfaces, and backend components including databases, web services, and messaging systems.
This position requires expertise in C# and object-oriented programming to build and optimize automation frameworks. Additionally, it involves testing web services and REST APIs using tools like Selenium, XUnit, and Postman, as well as working with service testing tools such as Fiddler, SOAP UI, and JSON Lint to ensure comprehensive test coverage. This role also involves close collaboration within an Agile development environment and contributing to the overall quality of software releases and automation strategies.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Possess 4-7 years of automation testing experience and proficiency in C# coding.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and extensive experience in test automation for enterprise applications.
Display proficiency in testing web services and REST APIs, and working with automation frameworks such as Coded UI, Selenium, and XUnit.
Possess hands-on experience with database queries and SOA testing principles.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment, effective communication, and collaboration with international teams are essential.
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and adaptability to complex systems.
Prior exposure to performance and load testing, and experience in large system integration projects are advantageous.
Possess a degree in Computer Science, MCA, or an equivalent qualification.
Be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
