JOB DESCRIPTION

Design and develop automated testing frameworks and solutions that promote quality engineering and shift-left testing practices.
Analyze, design, create, and execute automated test cases for backend microservices and monolithic applications, as well as end-to-end tests using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
Design, create, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, system, and end-to-end testing, while continuously enhancing test coverage and quality.
Conduct manual testing and perform non-functional testing, including performance, resilience, and security testing.
Integrate testing practices into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify and manage quality risks.
Review code and provide guidance to developers on creating effective automated tests.
Contribute to exploratory testing, release verification, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
Actively engage in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies, offering insights and guidance on quality and testing progress.
Lead quality assurance and automation efforts within the Scrum teams, striving to elevate overall quality standards.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Must Have
A product-focused mindset, capable of understanding how technical decisions, software quality, and testing can influence the overall product and its quality outcomes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the initiative to discuss and analyze technical issues with developers and other stakeholders.
Extensive hands-on experience in software testing, test automation, or a related software engineering role.
Proficiency with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
Significant hands-on experience in API testing, unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, database testing, and/or test frameworks and automation tools.
Experience with non-functional testing, including performance, resilience, or security testing.
A readiness to conduct manual testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Strong programming abilities with the capacity to write automated tests and comprehend application code.
Experience with SQL databases, including the ability to write and execute SQL scripts.
A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), especially in Agile environments.
Practical experience with AI tools or AI-assisted techniques to enhance software testing, such as test case generation, test automation, test data generation, defect analysis, or improving testing efficiency.
 
Nice to Have
Familiarity with complex software systems, including microservice architecture and monolithic code.
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, such as Kafka or service bus.
