JOB DESCRIPTION

We are searching for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to join our startup as a full-time backend developer. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and managing the backend services, APIs, and deployment for our global health tech mobile platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Regularly contribute to the codebase with a focus on detail and high quality.
Develop solutions to user-facing problems, as well as design and implement large software components, systems, and features.
Build, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software, specifically APIs for our native mobile client applications.
Independently manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Address complex technical issues.
Work closely with teammates to enhance their skills through technical contributions and mentorship.
Foster a culture of quality and innovation within the engineering team and across the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENT

This position is open to all individuals, regardless of their programming language background, provided they possess a "can-do, can-learn" mindset to adapt to our current tech stacks, Python and Node.
At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.
Proficient communication skills in English, both professionally and personally, are a must.
Experience with micro-services is essential.
Proficiency in Python and utilizing LLM as Vertex AI or OpenAI API is considered an advantage.
Familiarity with NoSQL data stores and data modeling is preferred.
Experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP), and docker is necessary.
Ability to conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback on the work of other developers is desired.
Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment with quick iteration, continuous deployment, and test-driven development is beneficial.
A positive attitude and a willingness to put in the effort required to achieve goals are vital.
Demonstrating a strong bias for action is essential, as we have ambitious delivery goals, and you can contribute significantly to helping us achieve them.
