Senior DevOps

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Client is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in optimizing our development and deployment processes, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of our systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
SecOps:
Implement and maintain security best practices in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Identify vulnerabilities and mitigate security risks.
Develop and maintain security tools and scripts for continuous monitoring and threat detection.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Code Release Management:
Lead and manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance the development lifecycle.
Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
Manage and scale cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud.
Maintain and improve configuration management systems and infrastructure as code practices.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
Enhance system reliability by designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application and infrastructure components.
Plan and execute disaster recovery drills and develop resilience strategies for critical services.
Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
General:
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to DevOps and cloud computing.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the DevOps team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of goals and projects.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience as a DevOps/SecOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
Solid understanding of networking and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
Working Proficiency in English communication (TOEIC 800+ or IELTS 6+)
Nice to Have
Experience handling multiple projects at the same time
Experience with mentoring juniors
Preferred: Experience with Jira and Atlassian tools
