Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role will sit in the engineering/devops area, and the person will play a key role implementing, maintaining, and optimising the cloud environments for the bank.
You will be working with other senior engineers and architects to build a market-leading solution.
You will work with application, platform, security, and data teams, as well as integrating with external systems.
The successful candidate will need to liaise with business and technology teams to understand requirements and translate these into solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with AWS technologies and services.
Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles.
Experience with Terraform Enterprise and/or Harness CI/CD products are valued.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and patterns.
Proven experience in setting up and maintaining AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, etc.
Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM, Security Groups, and VPC configurations.
Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Python software engineering experience good to have, or experience in other languages (e.g. Go, Kotlin, Node)
Kubernetes skills and experience are valued

Staff Engineer, Firmware

Create the firmware stack for a new project from the ground up, including selecting the operating system, setting up the toolchain, and developing the board support package. Develop firmware for real-time processing units across the project's hardware platform. Establish and maintain embedded Linux environments for onboard computing, including BSP setup, device tree configuration, kernel driver development, and userspace/kernel interfaces. Create and maintain low-level drivers for various components such as actuators, sensors, IMUs, and communication buses (CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, I2C, UART). Design real-time control loops with specific latency and determinism requirements. Work closely with different engineering teams to co-design hardware and firmware interfaces.
