JOB DESCRIPTION

We are in need of an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our engineering and business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing tools and processes that facilitate rapid development and deployment of software.
The main responsibility is to adopt continuous integration/deployment in a delivery pipeline that performs automated quality checks, deploys cloud infrastructure and applications quickly, and offers operational tooling and metrics for use by development teams. Success in this role requires a combination of development and operational experience, providing an understanding of the developers you work with while ensuring critical systems uptime.
 
Responsibilities
Contribute to developing continuous delivery, automation, and building pipelines for a better development and customer experience
Identify and develop opportunities to improve processes and tools for automation
Learn new skills and help promote a continuous delivery and cloud-first mindset
Manage day-to-day workload and requests using agile practices as part of a team and community
Periodic after-hours on-call support and overtime may be required
Occasional travel (up to 10% of the year) may be necessary

JOB REQUIREMENT

Required Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in Linux operating systems management.
Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration, such as ECS/EKS.
Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation/Terraform/CDK for infrastructure provisioning.
Understanding of source control concepts (e.g., Gitlab/Git flow, Trunk base, branches).
Experience with CI/CD tools or configuration management tools.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash).
Understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, high availability.
Strong English communication skills and the ability to engage with both business and technical teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking.
Self-learning attitude and an eagerness to explore and acquire new knowledge.
Experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in the banking or finance industry.
AWS certification(s) related to Advanced Networking.
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.

Principal Engineer (Java)
