Senior Embedded Linux Middleware Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design, develop, and test middleware/framework for SoC platforms.
Perform Integration Testing, Unit Testing, Functional Testing.
Prepare technical documentation and develop sample applications for the product.
Collaborate with different teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify, report, and resolve technical issues

JOB REQUIREMENT

Must-have Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Expert C/C++ performance optimization, memory layout, and low-level hardware interaction.
Familiarity with Linux development environment and command-line tools.
Strong scripting skills using Python or Bash; own buidl and test automation infrastructure.
Proficient with toolchains, compliers, Makelife, CMake-based build systems
Experienced in embedded software design - architecture design, unit design and sequence/interaction design.
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in embedded contexts.
Can design and own IPC architectures: RPMsg, D-Bus, shared memory, or remoteproc.
Deep multi-threading and real-time scheduling experience - has debugged concurrency issues in production.
Able to read hardware manuals, analyze reference driver source code, and translate specs into software.
Own CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, including integration with automated test enviroments.
Outstanding troubleshooting and root-cased analysis accross software, OS and hardware layers.
Mentor junior engineers - conducts technical training, reviews and knowledge sharing.
Drive technical discussions with hardware teams, SoC vendors and cross-funtional stakeholders
Give clear technical direction and design decisions without micromanaging.
Nice-to-have Skills:
Hands-on experience with QNX or FreeRTOS in a shipped product.
Has performed SoC bring-up: IPL, U-Boot, and multi-core partition configuration.
Working knowledge of MISRA C, static analysis tools (Polyspace, Coverity), and ISO 26262 functional safety.
Familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or Automotive Grade Linux (AGL).
Hypervisor integration experience: Xen or ACRN for mixed-criticality platforms.
Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic or Adaptive platform architecture.
HIL testing or hardware debugging via JTAG/trace tools.
Prior experience in a team lead or technical lead capacity.
