JOB DESCRIPTION

Design IoT Solutions: tailor IoT solutions to meet specific business needs, considering factors such as data collection, network connectivity, data analysis, and data security.
Deploy IoT Devices: choose appropriate IoT devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and connect them with operational equipment and machines to gather real-time data on performance, quality, and environmental conditions.
Develop IoT Platforms: collaborate with software engineers to create custom IoT applications and platforms tailored to manufacturing operations, including controls, visualization tools, and reporting mechanisms.
Integrate IoT Platforms with Other Systems: integrate IoT applications with other systems such as
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for continuous data exchange and improved production processes.
Manage IoT Data: develop protocols and systems to collect and store large volumes of IoT-generated data, ensuring its integrity, security and accessibility.
Analyze IoT Data: utilize data analytics tools and techniques to derive actionable insights for decisionmaking, enabling predictive maintenance, process optimization, and quality control.
Drive Continuous Improvement: lead initiatives to enhance IoT systems and processes by gathering stakeholder feedback and monitoring industry trends and best practices.
Ensure Compliance & Standards: adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity requirements throughout the design and implementation of IoT solutions.
Provide Documentation & Training: create technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials to facilitate the deployment and maintenance of IoT systems, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development within the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Mandatory requirements for the job are as follows:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Minimum 7 years of working experience in the manufacturing field, IoT and Automation.
Proven experience in the design and implementation of IoT and Automation systems, sensorintegration, data acquisition systems and industrial communication protocols.
Proficient in implementing automation solutions with PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms
Familiar with cybersecurity principles and best practices applying to IoT systems
Familiar with embedded systems and embedded systems programming
Familiar with Visual Studio and C#
Knowledge of IoT technologies, protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, OPC, UA, Modbus).
Knowledge of database management (both local and in the cloud)
Knowledge of mobile app development
Good problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver complete, effective and efficient solutions
Effective communication and collaboration skills
In addition to hard requirements, it's an advantage of having the following knowledge and experience:
Cloud and edge computing platforms (e.g., AWS)
Databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
Data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
