JOB DESCRIPTION

Create system architecture and provide guidance for AI-assisted implementation of Springboot/Kotlin applications
Check and improve AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and maintainability
Collaborate with Product Owners and BA to understand requirements and business processes
Leverage AI tools to efficiently translate user stories into functional solutions
Clearly communicate technical designs, trade-offs, and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Investigate and clarify requirements to understand the underlying business needs
Validate AI-generated test suites and ensure thorough coverage using TDD and DDD principles
Take ownership of quality assurance by devising test strategies and confirming implementation accuracy
Devise RESTful APIs and microservice patterns, overseeing AI implementation
Provide technical oversight and make architectural decisions for AI-assisted development
Conduct comprehensive code reviews for both human and AI-generated code
Collaborate with distributed teams across different time zones

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Expertise in Java/Kotlin (strongly prefers Kotlin), SpringBoot, JPA, Kafka, and Rest APIs.
Extensive experience with Java Web technologies and frameworks such as Spring (Security, MVC, SpringBoot), JPA, REST API, Maven, Junit test, Mockito, and Kafka.
Proficiency in designing RDBMS and SQL
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar)
Ability to craft effective prompts and context for AI code generation
Strong skills in code review and verification for AI-generated implementations
Critical thinking to evaluate AI suggestions and identify potential issues
Expertise in validating AI-generated tests for completeness and edge case coverage
Understanding of AI limitations and when to override or refine AI outputs
Ability to architect solutions feasible for AI implementation
Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to work in a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to guide AI assistance
Understanding of financial instruments
Adaptability and willingness to learn new AI tools and workflows
Judgment and discernment in accepting, modifying, or rejecting AI-generated code
Automated unit and integration testing (e.g., jUnit, mockito)
Proficiency in Gradle build systems
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms (e.g., dictionary, list, set, trees, graphs)
Control-flow patterns and microservice architecture design
Understanding of database fundamentals: joins, indexes, foreign keys, primary keys, query optimization
Familiarity with relational DB, NoSQL, graph DB, and ACID properties
Expertise in system design and architectural patterns
Knowledge of protocols & standards (e.g., OpenAPI, AVRO, Protobuf)
Understanding of SOLID principles and event-driven architecture
Proficiency in DevOps and infrastructure fundamentals
Familiarity with messaging queues, Docker/Compose, Kubernetes (pods, ConfigMaps, deployments, services)
Experience with Git workflows (GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools (Sonar)
Knowledge of security fundamentals and secure coding practices
Ability to verify security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code
Advanced proficiency in AI tools (such as Claude Code)
Experience integrating AI tools into team workflows
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
Familiarity with log management tools (Splunk, SumoLogic, ELK) and infrastructure architecture (DNS, load balancers, CDNs)
Understanding of security: SSL/MTLS, PKI, asymmetric/symmetric encryption, OAuth, JWT
Familiarity with GraphQL, Airflow, TypeScript, Python
Contribution to open-source projects or AI tool customization
Experience with prompt engineering and context optimization
Seeing AI as a powerful co-pilot and not a replacement for engineering judgment
Proficiency in architectural thinking and designing systems for AI implementation
Having a discerning eye for code quality and identifying issues in generated code
Understanding the "why" behind the code, not just the "what"
Comfort in iterating with AI tools to achieve optimal solutions
Ability to mentor others in effective AI-assisted development practices
Maintaining high standards for code quality regardless of its source
