Senior Oracle Database Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Objective
We are seeking a professional DBA with the technical skills and knowledge that
extends across Application/ Server/ Storage/ Network technologies to administer a large, complex production DB environment and troubleshoot and provide system level guidance/ solutions. The role also performs effective centralized database administration for multiple databases globally. This includes Oracle databases for production, testing, and staging environments across the company.
This opportunity will suit an Oracle DBA who enjoys providing technical guidance and who can play a key role in supporting and driving forward our database developments
Key Responsibility
Primary: Designing, installing, configuring, administering, capacity planning/Basic optimizations, monitoring, backup/restore/recovery/clone DB, security related to Oracle DBMS in Oracle Linux (Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard). 
Support deploy, detect/modify store procedure and triggering, scripting, How to read a query plan, Knowledge of SQL, Knowledge of normalization.
Working with developers.
Learning about and gathering new technologies and related tools to introduce to the company in order to grow the agile development environment.
Document Database and make sure that the documents are up-to-date
Take part in IT projects that are relevant to IT systems under job holder’s direct daily operation
Coordinate with other IT staff to make sure that the systems have maximum uptime and security.
Ensuring successful backups, and  developing, implementing disaster recovery plans
Proactively monitor and solve any problems with the server and systems  

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in IT or relevant fields (preferred)
Experience:
Ideally Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) with more than 3 years experience with Oracle.
Experience should include DB design (modelling and normalization), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up and recovery, managing schemas, report generation and DB clustering technologies.
Operating system experience in Linux.
Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
Partitioning.
Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment (11gR2).
Skills:
Basic English; good at writing (be able to communicated well via email with European specialists and colleagues)
Good knowledge/experience with VMware
Understanding of enterprise network and infrastructure environments

Hands on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.
Experience working with Ansible, Gitlab for automation code
Experience working with SQL Server on Windows, MySQL, Postgres, Mongo on Linux
Strong service mentality, “can do” attitudes, strong drive to succeed
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and provide recommendation to improve operation.
