QA Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop product knowledge to understand the products’ key requirements and features, and to keep abreast of the latest development of the products
Analyse products’ requirements solicited from prospects/customers of the company via TPOs, as well as improvements and enhancements from internal review of the company’s products
Study and construct use cases and workflow related to product/feature requirements • Design and document test procedures, plans, scenarios, cases and scripts, based on the products’ requirements and technical specifications
Own, execute and manage the testing activities of product releases throughout the product development lifecycle, covering functional tests, scenario tests, and end-to-end tests on the products
Assign testing activities to fellow software testers and coordinate/track their testing progress and testing results (junior QA resources)
Ensure testing of each product release meets the products’ requirements, completes on time, and adheres to the test plans and QA standards defined by the company 
Detect software bugs, issues and failures, and maintain the defects in the Bug Reporting and
Tracking System for follow-up fixes, retest
Track outstanding defects and liaise with respective owners to fix them for retest
Conduct periodic review and generate historic analysis of the test results to highlight repeating or systemic defects for follow-up
Take on active role in defining, developing and implementing the automated testing platform
Champion best working practices in testing and identify areas for continuous improvement
Mentor the junior team members on the product test cases, test execution and test automation.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Must have:
Bachelor degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of QA working experience in requirements analysis/specifications and software product testing.
Good domain knowledge in Server testing
Experience in Jmeter, Selenium testing framework
Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality
Good to have:
TestNG and automation tools knowledge
Strong analytical and problem resolution skill
Ability to transform complex application logic into well documented use cases and test plans
Good understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle
Good understanding and experience of mobile and web application testing
Knowledge of Jira bug reporting software and jenkins preferred. Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies quickly
Experience in technical languages, e.g. Java, SQL scripts
A strong self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and growing environment
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
