Our client is a leading technology company specializing in graphics processing units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence (AI).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Optimizing Metropolis Vision AI pipelines for real-time and streaming scenarios using computer vision and deep learning models.
Developing distributed services for processing video, image, and 3D data in both edge and cloud settings.
Enhancing multi-modal perception capabilities to understand complex real-world scenes.
Testing and validating perception algorithms at scale using simulation and synthetic data tools.
Tuning GPU-accelerated inference pipelines to meet strict latency, efficiency, and reliability targets.
Collaborating with partner teams across various areas to translate requirements into technical builds and implementations.
Contributing to guidelines for code quality and testing through participation in technical reviews.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Over 8 years of professional software development experience using modern C++ (14/17/20) and Python on Linux.
Strong understanding of computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and distributed systems concepts.
Previous work in computer vision and deep learning, with a track record of deploying production systems in these areas.
Experience constructing and troubleshooting high-performance, concurrent systems, including multi-threading, asynchronous I/O, and efficient memory management.
Proficient in working within Linux-based environments with containers and microservices, integrating AI components into scalable back-end services.
Capable of rapidly prototyping vision models and pipelines, and refining them into production-quality services.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch in training, fine-tuning, and deploying models for vision tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, employing a data-driven approach to performance optimization and system build.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a successful track record collaborating across time zones and functions.
Practical experience delivering end-to-end computer vision applications in production, such as video analytics, smart cities, autonomous systems, retail analytics, industrial inspection, or digital twins.
Experience with GPU acceleration (such as CUDA, TensorRT, or comparable technologies) and low-level optimization for inference and pre/postprocessing.
Previous work in simulation and synthetic data creation using tools such as Omniverse, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar digital-twin platforms.
Background in vision-language models or related multi-modal AI, including integrating these models into real products.
Experience in multimedia, including video-centric processing and delivery (such as codecs, video pipelines, or media frameworks) and integrating vision models into multimedia workflows.

Staff Engineer, Firmware

Create the firmware stack for a new project from the ground up, including selecting the operating system, setting up the toolchain, and developing the board support package. Develop firmware for real-time processing units across the project's hardware platform. Establish and maintain embedded Linux environments for onboard computing, including BSP setup, device tree configuration, kernel driver development, and userspace/kernel interfaces.
