Senior Technical Game Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Game design development
Collaborate with the game designer to understand and interpret game design documents and visions.
Collaborate with the Producer Team to align game design documents with product development goals and timelines.
Create and maintain technical design documents that detail the implementation of game mechanics and systems.
Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and methodologies that could enhance gameplay and development processes.
 
Technical coordination
Work closely with engineers to ensure game features are implemented according to design specifications, within technical constraints.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to game design, offering solutions that align with the game's vision and technical capabilities.
Communicate technical constraints and possibilities to the game design team to foster a collaborative environment for innovation.
 
Prototyping
Develop prototypes for gameplay mechanics and features, using behavior trees and other game development tools.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
Experience in game development, with a portfolio showcasing previous technical work of all genres, especially AR, VR, Mixed reality.
Strong understanding of game design principles and passion for games.
Proficient in scripting languages such as C# and experience with game engines like Unity. Experience with Behavior Trees is a plus.
Ability to creatively solve technical challenges and adapt to evolving design requirements and constraints.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent English communication and documentation.

Responsible for managing the Product Backlog to ensure transparency, visibility, and alignment with business priorities. Clearly articulate Product Backlog items, including acceptance criteria and relevant documentation. Prioritize features, bug fixes, and enhancements in the backlog to maximize product value. Continuously refine and adjust the backlog based on feedback, changes in market needs, and development progress. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the Development Team.
