JOB DESCRIPTION

Leads sprint planning, test planning, test design, and defect management, as well as reporting to stakeholders
Drives an approach for system, component, SIT, and integration tests with an automation-first approach
Proficient in creating and maintaining test beds and test documentation (such as test scope, test plan, test summary report) for ST and SIT phases
Manages and delivers test execution for new features in different testing life cycles
Experience in leading a small team and exhibiting leadership qualities, stakeholder management, and effective communication with project and business teams
Experience in test scoping, estimation of efforts, creating test artifacts, and delivering ST, SIT testing outcomes within agreed timeline and scope
Proactively addresses issues discovered in software testing, defect triage, and prioritization towards fixing the issues
Creates and maintains automation scripts and suits for SIT flow where applicable
Drives an automation-led approach for testing
Provides insights into quality metrics, including trend analysis of discrepancies and defects
Proactively manages risk and meets policy and compliance requirements
Innovates and embeds Quality Engineering practices in all facets of work
Owns, manages, and demonstrates uplift from PIRs for continuous improvement in the release process
Coaches and mentors junior Automation Engineers
Executes and codes automated tests for the feature, system, and integrated systems testing phases
Tracks progress of allocated test designs and test cases to ensure testing deadlines will be met
Generates test reports
Good communication in English is a must

JOB REQUIREMENT

At least 7+ years of automation experience in Web and API testing is typically required.
Ability to develop automation framework (web/api) from scratch and deliver as a service.
Hands-on experience in implementing test tooling and maintaining automation frameworks for various application architectures (Web, Desktop, Microservices/API, etc).
Strong experience in SIT testing with complex integration systems and defect management.
Proficiency in API/Microservices testing (Restful and MQ).
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript.
Demonstrated experience in utilizing various automation tools & libraries (Java, Selenium, API testing framework, Perfecto, GIT, Jenkins, AutoSDK, Selenium, etc).
Significant experience working with CI/CD (Jenkins/Harness) or Docker is highly beneficial.
Ability to drive the strategy, implementation, and execution of test automation solutions proficiently.
Effective communication with all levels of management and clear articulation of complex technical issues to peers and stakeholders is required.
 
Nice to have:
Sound experience/knowledge in Financial Crime or Fraud domain.
Working experience in Banking/finance industry is well regarded.
