Senior/Principal/Lead Game Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

To date, blockchain technology has been boring and mainly focused on trading. Axie is here to change that with fun, dynamic gameplay that allows players to improve and trade assets that they have complete and total ownership over. Axie is also more than a game— it's a gaming platform with infinite possibilities and potential spinoff mini-games so you'll have a lot of freedom to start new initiatives and make them your own. Being a Game Designer at Sky Mavis, you are expected to:
Participate in designing, developing and growing our Axie core game production 
Outline and implement the game vision including game story, gameplay, target market, monetization, player retention and so on
Work with other departments (art, engineer, operation) to prototype, and ensure the game production meets its design vision
Balancing the technical and product roadmaps within the team.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Proof of past engagement in building games, whether in a professional or hobbyist setting.
Mastering game design principles: camera, control, character, lighting, etc.
You learn quickly and adapt to new principles and ideas.
You're a team player and can work closely with the rest of our team.
Experience working with Game Engine such as Unity

Senior QA Manager

Oversee QA delivery and performance across 12 product lines, including test automation and performance testing. Lead and develop five team leads through goal setting, regular one-on-ones, performance management, and hiring, including onboarding two new hires. Set and manage team-level targets against the organisation's QA scorecard, focusing on measurable quality outcomes rather than test case counts. Manage daily QA operations within the release train model, covering defect lifecycle, test execution, triage, estimation, reviews, and reporting, while proposing improvements to the model. Strengthen team leads' specification review and estimation capabilities, enabling them to handle area-level scoping independently without VP involvement. Increase test automation coverage and engineer productivity while accelerating testing cycles without compromising coverage or confidence. Lead QA's analysis of escaped defects, ensuring customer issues drive process improvements. Collaborate with Support to identify recurring and high-impact issues and share insights across teams. Partner with Product and Development to assess requirements from a customer impact perspective and strengthen defect prevention. Provide quality evidence to support the VP's release go/no-go decisions, without owning the final release decision.
