Senior/Principal/Lead Game Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

To date, blockchain technology has been boring and mainly focused on trading. Axie is here to change that with fun, dynamic gameplay that allows players to improve and trade assets that they have complete and total ownership over. Axie is also more than a game— it's a gaming platform with infinite possibilities and potential spinoff mini-games so you'll have a lot of freedom to start new initiatives and make them your own. Being a Game Designer at Sky Mavis, you are expected to:
Participate in designing, developing and growing our Axie core game production 
Outline and implement the game vision including game story, gameplay, target market, monetization, player retention and so on
Work with other departments (art, engineer, operation) to prototype, and ensure the game production meets its design vision
Balancing the technical and product roadmaps within the team.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Proof of past engagement in building games, whether in a professional or hobbyist setting.
Mastering game design principles: camera, control, character, lighting, etc.
You learn quickly and adapt to new principles and ideas.
You're a team player and can work closely with the rest of our team.
Experience working with Game Engine such as Unity

Prioritize highest-impact AI use cases in the organization using a build-vs-buy-vs-partner framework. Establish AI governance for model selection, cost management, data privacy, IP protection, and ethical AI guidelines. Implement AI-assisted development workflows for 1,000+ engineers, including AI code generation, review, automated testing, and AI-powered debugging. Drive adoption of AI orchestration platforms to automate repetitive engineering tasks. Create internal AI skills/training programs and a culture of continuous AI experimentation. Measure and report on productivity gains, quality improvements, and time-to-market acceleration from AI adoption. Collaborate with product teams to define AI features for various products.
