JOB DESCRIPTION

Create system architectures, set coding standards, and build cloud-native solutions.
Write Node.js code, improve system performance, and address intricate software integration issues.
Supervise testing, deployment, and thorough documentation of integrated systems.
Guide junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and make sure solutions align with business needs and global standards.
Actively participate in all Agile software development stages, such as generating user stories and leading sprint planning.
Collaborate with international companies, showing flexibility to accommodate US and EU time zones occasionally.

JOB REQUIREMENT

At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required
A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in Node.js
Strong expertise in Node.js and deep understanding of its technologies
Proficiency in both Relational and NoSQL databases, with specific emphasis on using MongoDB for performance, scalability, and query optimization
Previous experience in constructing scalable RESTful/Microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, ASG, SQS, VPC, and SG, and designing cloud-native solutions
Experience using Redis to enhance system throughput for complex system-level updates
Experience with Elastic Cache to improve system and navigate AWS services effectively
Ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in Unit/Integration testing (Mocha, Chai, or Jest) and TDD practice
Strong knowledge of Linux, capable of handling complex system-level updates
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Outstanding problem-solving skills for complex software development and integration issues
Excellent communication skills for effective cross-cultural and cross-time zone collaboration, and experience in mentoring less experienced engineers
Professional working proficiency in English
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to work with colleagues in different time zones as needed
Understanding of authentication/authorization (OAuth2 / SAML)
Highly valued experience in MLOps, ML infrastructure, and model training
Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) for understanding systems, reasoning about code, and accelerating skill growth
Knowledge in or interest in learning life science is highly desirable
