JOB DESCRIPTION

This job is for a Solution Designer with expertise in current technologies such as Amazon Web Services/Azure, Springboot Micro-Services, and Oracle Database. Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in Collections (PowerCurve experience), is preferred. The role involves leading engineering efforts, application design, and ensuring technical solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, cost-optimized, and maintainable. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, keeps up with the latest trends, and has strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
 
Key responsibilities include managing the design, development, and testing of customer/colleague and technology features, maintaining and validating engineering standards, and driving the adoption of standards within the team. The role also involves brainstorming to develop potential solutions for business needs, presenting solutions to stakeholders, identifying opportunities for system improvement, and collaborating with business teams to implement approved solutions. Regular updates on product development processes, costs, and budgets will also be provided to stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Requirements
10+ years of experience in application design and/or development roles and 15+ years in Technology generally.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, including designing and architecting microservices in complex environments.
Familiarity with DevOps, testing automation, AWS cloud, APIs, and microservices.
Strong solution engineering skills.
Excellent documentation and English communication skills (both verbal and written).
Solid experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems, Event-Driven Architecture.
Experience in designing large-scale systems.
Solid experience with Cloud Services (AWS/Azure) is highly desired.
Experience supporting a production service in a DevOps-friendly environment.
Strong understanding of application security.
Experience in design tools.
Experience in service integration.
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
 
Preferred Skills
Knowledge in banking domain.
Experience in Java, JavaScript frameworks, especially NodeJS or ReactJS.
Solid experience in an Agile development environment.
AWS certification/Azure certification.
