JOB DESCRIPTION

Identify and prioritize product gaps, challenges, and technical debt with strategic foresight.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to boost product capabilities and streamline development.
Design the ideal target architecture and craft a clear implementation roadmap-then empower the team to realize it.
Ensure the product remains resilient and future-ready, with a strong focus on security, maintainability, and scalability.
Actively support engineers through hands-on guidance whenever needed.
Take shared ownership of product development, collaborating closely with Product Managers to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact solutions.
Advise on tough tradeoffs between scope, resources, and timelines to drive informed decision-making.
Steer the team through high-stakes initiatives with clarity and confidence.
Define and uphold best practices through active participation in code and design reviews.
Mentor and grow engineering talent through coaching, feedback, and career development.
Champion high standards in engineering recruitment-bringing in top-tier talent who raise the bar.
Build strong communication bridges with other technical teams to eliminate redundancy, align solutions, and share learnings across domains.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Seeking an experienced software developer with 7+ years of professional software development experience in building and maintaining complex, large codebase enterprise web applications. Knowledge of PHP and / or GO is advantageous.
The ideal candidate should have a high level understanding of the software development lifecycle and be quality focused, able to identify and address deep-rooted issues.
An analytical software architect / designer is needed to design and evolve complex software architecture, apply best practices and understand critical trade-offs in software development.
Strong understanding and experience in designing clear, elegant, backward-compatible and future-proof APIs is desired.
The candidate should be able to make technical decisions, resolve conflicts, mentor other engineers, and own the technical roadmap.
Clear and concise communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills are required, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot technical challenges, and preferably, to anticipate and prevent them.
Experience with strongly structured languages (Java, Kotlin, C#) is a plus.

Principal Engineer (Java)
