JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
Set the overall creative vision for the adaptation of web comics into videos on the platform while managing the creative workflow of executing this vision across various creative departments
Review and edit scripts to ensure proper formatting for the platform, while adding cues for the addition of new multimedia elements like music, sound effects and motion-graphic elements
Communicate holistic creative vision to art, audio and video editing stakeholders, manage their creative workflow and ensure implementation of their creative work into the story
Carry out process of uploading of web comic panels into story builder
Work closely with product and engineering teams to deeply understand the technical capabilities of the platform.
Help develop processes and workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of multimedia adaptations at the Company
Act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring consistency in tone, pacing, and style across all adapted content
JOB REQUIREMENT
Creatively Minded:
Possesses a strong storytelling instinct, with a natural knack for proper narrative structure, pacing, and flow
Demonstrates a keen sense of how sound, music, and visual effects can amplify the narrative and thematic elements of a story
Ideally possesses a particular passion for web comics or Webtoons, either as a creator or a fan
Adept with Creative Technologies:
Proficient in industry-standard creative software such as Photoshop, After Effects, and Clip Studio for photo and video editing
Able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools or platforms that aid in multimedia storytelling
Collaborative Mindset:
Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and creative)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment
Fast Execution:
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards
High Agency:
A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Comfortable with receiving and integrating feedback
Language Requirements: English Fluent
Bachelor's degree in Directing, Production, Design, Digital Media, Illustration or related field preferred.
