Team Lead Engineering

We're seeking a seasoned Engineering Team Lead to head a cross-functional product team in Ho Chi Minh City, comprising frontend, backend, mobile, QA, and DevOps engineers. You'll work in a product trio alongside a Product Manager and Product Designer, driving both delivery and discovery to build solutions that are technically robust, user-centric, and aligned with business outcomes.

You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders in Germany and across international teams, ensuring transparency, impact, and technical excellence. As a hands-on leader, you'll guide the team through the full development lifecycle - from architectural decisions and code reviews to cross-team alignment and cloud-native engineering.

Lead & Mentor: Grow and coach a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team in agile practices, modern development workflows, and AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot.

Shape Product Direction: Partner in the product trio to influence roadmaps and feature development with strong technical insight and customer empathy.

Drive Collaboration: Work closely with global stakeholders, especially in Germany, to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership across teams.

Champion Engineering Excellence: Promote best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and scalable architecture.

Foster a High-Performance Culture: Encourage ownership, continuous learning, and a customer-first mindset within the team.

Enable Modern Development: Guide the team in data-driven web development, DevOps principles, and the effective use of generative AI tools.

Architect & Align: Contribute to strategic technical decisions and align with other team leads to build and maintain shared components and cloud-native solutions.

Collaborate Across Business Units: Ensure efficient resource utilization and cross-functional alignment to maximize impact.

Demonstrated expertise in leading teams or managing engineering projects with over 3 years of experience, preferably in an agile product development setting.

Collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to mentoring and developing engineers.

Proficiency in modern web development, particularly in Next.js, Flutter, and Java.

Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle and DevOps principles, with a wide-ranging skill set.

Sound understanding of AWS cloud services and hands-on experience in cloud-native environments.

Strong grasp of business-oriented development and a practical approach to balancing speed and quality.

Proficient in English communication, with both written and verbal skills.

Comfortable working with diverse time zones and cultures, and adept at managing international stakeholder relationships.
